The Followings Questions are Frequently Asked About Dental HealthOne of the questions about dental health is the type of toothpaste and toothbrush one should use. The toothbrush used should have soft bristles. Medium and firm bristles can damage the gums and teeth. The action should be done gently for 3 minutes and two times a day. Both manual and powered toothbrush cleans the teeth. The brush should have angled bristles to reach every corner of the mouth.

A toothbrush should be replaced after every 3-4 months. Once the bristles begin to splay out, the toothbrush should be disposed of. The toothbrush used should be able to clear acids and bacteria that have accumulated inside the mouth. The toothpaste should have fluoride, which gives the teeth strong and protects the gums. The other question asked is does one needs flossing. Flossing helps remove the food particles stuck in the mouth, and the toothbrush was not able to remove them.

Why Do I Need Dental Exams

Regular dental visits help detect oral conditions that might harm the mouth and general body health. The dentist begins by cleaning the buildup accumulated on the teeth during a routine visit. Using dental probes, the dentist can identify the spots near the gum lines and treat them before proceeding to a more severe condition called gum disease. The examinations should be carried out every six months .dental x-rays are recommended to diagnose oral problems. Also, x-rays are conducted during the first stages to check the gum and tooth health. In case the patient is suffering from gum disease, the dentist wants a picture every five months to check up on the progress of the treatment method. Kids get more x-rays than adults since there is a change in their teeth
